The Education Division of the Europe Work Assembly, the International Socrates Award Nomination Committee, has awarded Tarabya British Schools with the European Quality Award for excellence in ‘International Educational Standards’ and ‘Educational Management and Educational Methods’.

With over 240 members, consisting of rectors, scientists and academicians from more than 30 countries worldwide, the Academic Union actively scrutinizes the academic standards, methods and developments, along with the success leading from this. The Academic Union has the fundamental responsibility to announce any organization reaching the universal standards and accomplishments.

The “European Quality” project was established in 2000 to present the best regional companies and educational institutions in the quality sphere. The nominees’ selection process is based upon a complex expert survey and the recommendations of the Socrates Nomination Committee partners. It also includes data gathering from national and international certification bodies, regional and national associations, congresses, forums, exhibitions, and industry media.

When choosing nominees for the “European Quality” award in educational sphere, the Socrates Nomination Committee experts are guided by the following selection criteria:

• Implementation of modern quality management systems. national and international accreditation, certification; quality of education programmes and cources; alumni`s high level; active participation in national and international educational forums, fairs, exhibitions; teaching Staff professionalism level; faultless reputation in region.
