TBS students and teachers are joining teams of technologists, scientists, designers, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, software developers, and students from across Turkey to compete and collaborate across the world, utilizing publicly available data to create solutions as websites, mobile apps, electronic gadgets, clothing or simply a well-presented ideas.
NASA is leading this global collaboration along with a number of government collaborators and over 100 local organizing teams across the globe. It is also being supported by IBM and Türk Telekom and is being held at İTÜ university for the next 48 hours. The International Space Apps Challenge is an international mass collaboration focused on space exploration that takes place in cities around the world. The event embraces collaborative problem solving with a goal of producing relevant open-source solutions to address global needs applicable to both life on Earth and life in space. This year there are over 25 challenges in four areas: Earth, Outer Space, Humans and Robotics.
